Extract Audio from Video

Take the sound out of a video as it is, nothing lost, many at once, in your browser

Drop videos here

Or choose them: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and more; they stay in your browser, even long ones

Sound

Format

The sound taken out as the video holds it, not written again: nothing lost, and quick. AAC (most MP4 and MOV videos) comes as M4A, Opus (WebM) as OPUS, Vorbis as OGG; MP3, FLAC and PCM as they are.

The main sound of each video. Kept as it is, it's copied, not decoded, so any sound works, Dolby Digital too; as WAV it's decoded by your browser. AVI, FLV and WMV aren't read.

How to extract audio from a video

  1. Drop your videos on the page or choose them: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and more.
  2. Keep the sound as it is (nothing lost), or get it as WAV.
  3. Listen to it, then download it, or all of them in a ZIP archive.

Questions

Is any quality lost?

Not when you keep it as it is: the sound is copied out of the video, not converted, so it's quick and identical to the video's.

Which file will I get?

It depends on the video: AAC (most MP4 and MOV) comes as M4A, Opus (WebM) as OPUS, Vorbis as OGG; MP3, FLAC and PCM as they are. Choose WAV for a file every editor opens.

I need an MP3. What do I do?

Use Video to MP3, which converts the sound at the bitrate you choose.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. The sound is taken out by your browser, on your device. AVI, FLV and WMV can't be read.
