Saved in the same kind of file as each video (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV; others as MP4), written again by your browser's own encoder in about the time it plays, at high quality, its sound copied. The text or image is on the whole video. AVI, FLV and WMV aren't read.

How to add text to a video

  1. Drop your videos on the page or choose them.
  2. Type the text, and pick its position, size, color, style and opacity; the preview shows it on a frame.
  3. Each video is written with the text; download it, or all of them in a ZIP.

Questions

Can I see the text before saving?

Yes: the preview draws it on a frame of the first video as you change it.

Can the text have several lines?

Yes: press Enter between them; they're lined up on the side it's placed against.

Is the text on the whole video?

Yes, from start to end. To put it on a part only, trim that part first with Trim Video.

Are my videos uploaded?

No. The text is drawn by your browser, on your device, and nothing is sent anywhere.
