Mirror
MP4 and MOV videos are copied as they are with the turn written in them, so it's instant and nothing is lost; WebM and MKV are written again.
Saved in the same kind of file as each video (MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV; others as MP4), with its sound copied as it is. AVI, FLV and WMV aren't read.
How to rotate a video
- Drop your videos on the page or choose them.
- Pick the turn: 90° right, 90° left or 180°; mirror them too if you need.
- Each video is turned as soon as it's added; download it, or all of them in a ZIP.
Questions
Does rotating lose quality?
Not for MP4 and MOV: the video is copied as it is and the turn is written in the file, as phones do, so it's instant and nothing is lost. WebM and MKV videos, and mirrored ones, are written again at high quality.
My phone video is sideways, how do I fix it?
Drop it and pick the turn that makes it upright: 90° right if its top is on the left, 90° left if it's on the right, 180° if it's upside down.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. They're turned by your browser, on your device, and never sent anywhere, even long ones.
Will it play everywhere?
Yes: players, phones, browsers and video editors follow the turn written in MP4 and MOV files, as they do for the videos phones record. A few old programs ignore it; for those, Resize Video writes the frames again, turned.
