The sound of what you share: a tab's in Chrome and Edge (tick "Also share tab audio"), the whole computer's on Windows; a window's or the screen's on a Mac has none. 60 fps for games and motion, 30 for the rest (smaller).
Recorded by your browser and kept in this page; nothing is uploaded. Phones' browsers can't record the screen. A long recording is held in memory until it's saved (about 45 MB a minute at 60 fps).
How to record your screen
- Choose the sound: the screen's, your microphone's, both or none, and 30 or 60 frames a second.
- Press Record, then pick the whole screen, a window or a browser tab.
- Pause and resume as you need, then stop.
- Watch the recording and save it as MP4 or WebM.
Questions
Can I record the sound of my computer?
In Chrome and Edge, a tab's sound (tick Also share tab audio), and the whole computer's on Windows. On a Mac, a window or the screen is recorded without its sound; your microphone works everywhere.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It records with your browser itself, on a computer. Phones' browsers can't record the screen.
How long can I record?
A recording is held in memory until you save it, about 45 MB a minute at 60 fps, so long recordings are fine on most computers.
Is my recording uploaded?
No. It's recorded by your browser and kept in the page until you save it; nothing is sent anywhere.
