Crop PDF

Cut the margins of a PDF or keep a part of its pages, on every page or each on its own, in your browser

Drop a PDF here

Or choose one, it's cropped in your browser and never uploaded

What's outside the box is hidden, not deleted: it stays in the file and can be brought back with a PDF editor. Bookmarks, links and forms are kept.

How to crop a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF on the page or choose it; its first page is shown large, with a box over it.
  2. Drag the box or its handles, draw a new one on the page, or type the margins to cut in millimeters. Find margins sets the box around what's on the pages, cutting the white around it.
  3. Keep the same box for every page, or give each page its own and go through them with the arrows.
  4. Save the cropped PDF.

Questions

How do I remove the white margins of a PDF?

Select Find margins: the pages are looked at and the box is set around what's on them, with a little space left, so nothing on any page is cut. Then save the cropped PDF.

Can I crop just one page, or each page differently?

Yes. Choose Each page, go to the page with the arrows and set its box; the pages you leave whole aren't changed.

Is what I crop off deleted?

No, it's hidden: the pages are shown and printed with only the part in the box, but what's outside stays in the file and a PDF editor can bring it back. Don't rely on cropping to remove private information.

Does cropping change the quality of the PDF?

No. The text, images and drawings stay exactly as they were, only the visible part of each page changes. Bookmarks, links and forms are kept.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. It's cropped by your browser, on your device, and never sent anywhere. A password protected PDF asks for its password.
