Or choose one, it's signed in your browser and never uploaded

The signature is a picture on the page, as on paper; it isn't a digital (certificate) signature. The rest of the PDF is kept as it is, with its bookmarks, links and forms. Your signatures aren't stored anywhere, they're gone when you leave the page.

How to sign a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF on the page or choose it.
  2. Make your signature: draw it, type your name in a handwriting font, or upload a picture of it. Initials, a text or today's date can be added the same way.
  3. Click where it goes on a page, then move it, resize it, copy it to every page or remove it.
  4. Save the signed PDF.

Questions

Is this a legally binding signature?

It's a picture of your signature on the page, as when you sign on paper, which is enough for many everyday documents. It isn't a digital (certificate) signature, which some contracts and official forms require.

Is my document or my signature uploaded or stored?

No. The PDF is signed by your browser, on your device. Your signatures aren't stored anywhere; they're gone when you leave the page.

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes, draw your signature with your finger on the touch screen.

What else is kept in the PDF?

Everything: the rest of the PDF is kept as it is, with its bookmarks, links and forms.

Can I fill in a form too?

If the PDF has fillable fields, fill them with Fill PDF Forms first, then sign it here.
