Split PDF

Split a PDF into single pages or ranges, or extract the pages you need, in your browser

Drop a PDF here

Or choose one, it's split in your browser and never uploaded

Pages are copied as they are, with their text, images and links. Bookmarks (the outline) aren't kept, and fillable form fields may stop working in the new files.

How to split a PDF

  1. Drop your PDF on the page or choose it.
  2. Pick how to split it: a file for every page, files of a few pages each, files of the ranges you type (e.g. 1-3, 4-6, 7-), or one file of the pages you want to extract (e.g. 1, 3-5, 9).
  3. Check the list of files that will be made, with their pages.
  4. Download the files one by one, or all of them at once in a ZIP archive.

Questions

Is my PDF uploaded to split it?

No. It's split by your browser, on your device, and never sent anywhere.

How do I extract pages from a PDF?

Choose Extract pages and type the pages you want, e.g. 1, 3-5, 9: you get one PDF with only those pages, the others left out.

Does splitting lower the quality?

No. The pages are copied as they are, with their text, images and links, nothing is compressed again. Bookmarks aren't kept, and fillable form fields may stop working in the new files.

Can I split a password protected PDF?

Yes, the page asks for its password. A PDF that only restricts printing or copying opens as PDF viewers open it.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark; how large a PDF can be depends only on your device's memory.
